    About Camden
At London Borough of Camden, we’re building somewhere everyone can thrive. We want Camden to be a place where everyone has the opportunity to succeed and where our communities feel proud of the spaces they live, work and visit.

    About the role
You’ll lead how Camden’s libraries shape and deliver their stock and reader development offer across the borough.

Working with the Libraries Development Manager, you’ll manage the full stock lifecycle, from procurement and supplier relationships to budget management and performance monitoring. You’ll ensure collections are high quality, locally relevant and reflective of Camden’s diverse communities.

You’ll develop and enhance the library offer, including digital resources, and lead on stock strategy, promotions and reader development activity for both adults and children. You’ll also oversee the Library Management System and contribute to wider digital development across the service.

Alongside this, you’ll build strong partnerships, identify development opportunities and support the delivery of key library strategies and improvement initiatives.

    About you
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in library or service development, whether that’s through a professional qualification or equivalent experience.

You’ll be confident managing projects, budgets and partnerships, and comfortable working with a wide range of people across services and organisations. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and build relationships are key.

You’ll bring a proactive, collaborative approach, able to work independently while also supporting and bringing others with you. Most importantly, you’ll understand the value of modern libraries and be motivated to deliver an inclusive, high-quality service for Camden’s communities.
