- Job description
- Assisting with personal care.
- Assisting the individual with accessing activities and spending time out in the community.
- Attending/transporting the individual to social activities.
- Encouraging social interaction and inclusion and providing emotional support.
- Be motivated, proactive and able to work on their own initiative.
- Be patient, caring and understanding.
- Have good communication skills (clear and effective communication).
- Be able to build a positive relationship with the individual to both encourage and support them.
- Have previous experience supporting an individual with additional needs.
- Be flexible to accommodate the hours of work where necessary.
Hours of work
4 hours per week.
About the recipient
The individual is male, 9 years old and resides in Hessle. They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them due to having Autistic Spectrum Disorder with attendant communication difficulties and learning difficulties.
They like playing with toys like number blocks and trains. They like exploring communities like parks and recreations.
They don't like dogs or any other pets.
