Direct Payment Worker - Beverley

Job description

A lady in her 30's, living in Beverley requires a dedicated and suitable person to be her support worker. This lady is autistic and has ADHD, she unable to walk far and has little movement in her hands.

Duties include:

  • Meal preparation including some batch cooking.
  • Personal care including dressing.
  • Taking to and attend appointments.
  • Support with showering.
  • Support with organising paperwork/correspondence.
  • Support with making telephone calls.
  • Support with organising appointments.
  • Shopping.
  • Domestic support.
  • Light gardening duties.

Hours

This post is for 24 hours per week.

Monday to Friday.

4 or 5 hours per day – times are to be agreed at interview and can be flexible.

Flexibility is required for support to appointments when required – notice will be given.

The suitable candidate must:

  • Be flexible.
  • Be honest and trustworthy.
  • Have own car – business insurance is required.
  • Knowledge of autism and ADHD would be desired but not essential.
  • Be motivated and proactive.
  • Be patient, caring and understanding.
  • Be able to build positive relationship with this lady to both encourage and support her.
  • Be flexible to accommodate the hours of work where necessary.

DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post – Cost to be met by the local authority.
