Are you passionate about heritage and education?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Education Officer to play a key role in developing an exciting school learning offer as part of ENLab, an innovative Enfield-wide Heritage Education project.
The project will bring Enfield’s built, industrial, and natural heritage to life—making it accessible, valued, and relevant for primary schools and families. Working, with key partners, including the Museum of Enfield, Forty Hall Estate, RSA Trust, Enfield Archaeological Society, Enfield Society, and Whitewebbs Transport Museum, ENLab will deliver inspiring heritage education for primary schools, Heritage Clubs, and a celebratory Heritage Festival for families.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Enfield Council’s small, dedicated, Culture Team as we deliver ENLab and make a meaningful and lasting impact.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record of delivering educational activities in a museum or heritage setting, particularly for primary-aged children. The post holder will be responsible for developing engaging, curriculum-linked learning resource packs for primary schools, coordinating a Heritage Advisory Group, and creating exciting Heritage Clubs for families. Creativity in educational content development, excellent organisational skills, and experience of engaging schools, stakeholders, volunteers, and cultural partners are essential for this role.

Some weekend and evening work will be required.
