Part Time - 2.5 days a week (preferably one day will be Friday), Fixed Term until 31st March 2027
An exciting opportunity has opened up within Family Help that sits within the South Neighbourhood Team, for an experienced and motivated Social Worker. The work undertaken by the team is very broad, varied and no day is ever the same!
As a Family Help Social Worker, you will have good assessment skills and will hold CIN plans for children where the family are found to be intentionally homeless.
You will also be responsible for s85 assessments.
As an experienced Social Worker, you will at times work alongside keyworkers, supporting them with their planning and service delivery to the families allocated to them.
You will need sound risk management skills and be able to support colleagues over threshold decisions and offer advice and guidance as needed across the whole of Family Help.
You will also respond to requests for advice from outside professionals and partner agencies.

For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.
For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
