Mount Primary School is looking to appoint a caring and committed Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our friendly and hardworking team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who is also confident in providing high-quality general classroom support.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all children can flourish.

Key Responsibilities:
Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with identified SEND, following individual learning plans
Assist in adapting resources and activities to meet the needs of all learners
Support the teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere
Help with the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays
Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCo, and external professionals
Contribute to the wellbeing and personal development of all pupils
Provide support across the whole class to help deliver engaging and accessible lessons

We are looking for someone who:
Holds a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Has recent experience in a primary setting, including work with children with SEND
Understands inclusive practices and how to differentiate support effectively
Is proactive, flexible, and a team player
Communicates clearly and positively with both children and adults
Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting the needs of all pupils
