About Camden
Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.
How You’ll Be Involved
You’ll play a vital role in maintaining and improving the quality of homes and buildings across our community. Whether it’s carrying out essential repairs, diagnosing faults, or delivering full refurbishments, your work will directly impact the comfort and safety of our residents. You’ll be trusted to use your expertise and judgement to find the best solutions often working independently, but always supported by a collaborative team.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working in both occupied and empty properties, ensuring every job meets high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction. You’ll be the face of the Council’s repairs service, so your ability to communicate clearly, work efficiently, and treat residents with respect will be just as important as your technical skills.
You’ll also help shape the future of the service by mentoring apprentices, sharing your knowledge, and staying up to date with the latest regulations and best practices. From safeguarding and asbestos awareness to working at heights and lone working, you’ll be expected to uphold the highest standards of health and safety in everything you do.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Standard DBS.

Health and safety is second nature to you, you understand the importance of working safely and staying up to date with regulations. You’re comfortable using technology like PDAs to manage your workload, and you communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and residents alike.
Whether you’ve gained your skills through formal qualifications or hands-on experience, what matters most is your ability to deliver high-quality work, manage your time well, and treat every customer with care. If you’ve worked in occupied properties before, that’s a bonus but what really counts is your commitment to doing the job properly and professionally.
