Job Description

Hours of work: 30 per week.
Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service).
As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata.

The Governors wish to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work in the main school site experienced in working with students with Special Educational Needs. The post involves covering whole classes in the main school as well as providing dedicated support to individuals and groups of students in Behavioural Alternative Provision (Internal Exclusion). The balance between these duties will be judged based on the candidates’ qualities, skills and ambitions.

An interest in education and the ability to deliver ideas and concepts to an audience of young people would be desirable.

This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking to become a teacher in the future and want experience of a secondary education setting or are passionate about working in schools.

The hours of work are 30 hours a week Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. term time (plus inset days). The actual salary is £21,769 to £23,204 a year (39 working weeks, 45.05 paid weeks a year). Less working hours will be considered for the right applicant.
