Laundry Assistant

Rosewood Free School is looking for a Laundry Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an important role in helping us maintain a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for our pupils and staff.

You will be responsible for managing the school's day-to-day laundry, ensuring that items are washed, dried, folded and returned to the appropriate areas efficiently and to a high standard.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Sorting and preparing laundry for washing.
• Operating washing machines and dryers safely and appropriately.
• Selecting suitable washing and drying programmes.
• Folding clean laundry neatly and returning it to the appropriate areas.
• Keeping the laundry area clean, tidy and organised.
• Monitoring laundry supplies and reporting when stock needs replenishing.
• Following appropriate hygiene, infection control and health and safety procedures.
• Reporting damaged items or faults with laundry equipment
• Working flexibly to respond to the school's laundry requirements.
