We are seeking

Bessacarr PrimarySchool is seeking to appoint a conscientious, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, with Special Educational Needs experience. This role involves supporting a pupil with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis to help the child achieve the best learning results and facilitate full inclusion in the school curriculum and activities. The role will also include general TA work within a classroom for part of the day including working with small groups, interventions and other support for the class Teacher.

The successful candidate will need to:

• Have experience of working in a Primary School
• Have a good level of general education – English and Maths at GCSE C or above (or equivalent) is essential
• Be able to use their initiative to work independently and flexibly
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, pupils and parents

It would be desirable for the candidate to:

• Have experience supporting a child / children with additional needs
• Have a background knowledge and experience in the SEN education or Healthcare sector
