    About the Role
Enfield Council is seeking a highly motivated Leasehold Services Officer to join our team in delivering excellent services to leaseholders, shared owners, and other homeowners.
This post is offered as a job share role, with the full-time equivalent of 36 hours per week split between two postholders working 18 hours each. The successful applicants will be expected to work collaboratively to ensure continuity of service, effective communication, and a consistently high standard of customer service. Working arrangements and days will be agreed to meet service needs.
This role is responsible for delivering a high-quality, customer-focused leasehold and Right to Buy service, ensuring all applications and transactions are processed right first time and within statutory and corporate timescales. The postholder will provide clear, regular and transparent communication to customers, keeping them informed at every stage and ensuring expectations are managed professionally.
The role involves the accurate setup, maintenance and termination of rent and leasehold accounts, responding promptly to enquiries from leaseholders, solicitors, Members and partner teams. A strong focus is placed on attention to detail, data accuracy, and recovery of all leasehold liabilities, while ensuring compliance with legislation, GDPR and Council policies.
The postholder will act as a key point of contact for leasehold advice, transactional services, resales, remortgages and permissions, working collaboratively across Council services to resolve issues efficiently and deliver positive customer outcomes. They will contribute to continuous improvement, performance targets and service standards, support complaint resolution, and help maintain up-to-date guidance for customers.
