Be the best that we can be!

The Governors of Sitwell Nursery & Infant School are seeking to appoint a Lunchtime Leader to join our caring and enthusiastic lunchtime team to provide supervision and support for our wonderful children during the lunchtime period.

Sitwell Nursery & Infant School is a large and successful infant school with an inclusive and child centred ethos, and we are looking for an energetic and talented Lunchtime Leader to join our wonderful team. Ofsted judged us Good in all areas in May 2025 and we were extremely proud of our report which states ‘Relationships are at the heart of the school. This underpins every aspect of school life. Staff relationships with pupils are nurturing and celebratory. This consistently fosters trust and encouragement. Pupils behave well, reflecting a culture of kindness and mutual respect.’

If you have a strong commitment to education, are self-motivated, want to make a real difference to children’s futures and be part of a wonderful learning community then you will enjoy being part of our friendly, happy school. We are passionate about teaching and learning and believe it is a privilege to work alongside our children and their families.

We are able to offer:

  • The opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic, fun loving and dedicated team of staff
  • A happy, stimulating and safe learning environment
  • A strong, supportive and highly experienced leadership team and governing body, committed to staff well-being
  • Strong supportive partnerships with parents and the wider community
  • Opportunities for professional development and training both in school and externally, to develop your own skills as a practitioner
  • The opportunity to make a real difference to the lives and futures of our children

We wish to appoint an outstanding professional who:

  • Enjoys working within a team of committed colleagues with support from more experienced lunchtime leaders.
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Is organised, patient, reliable and flexible.
  • Is prepared to provide outstanding learning experiences for small groups of children or individuals as necessary, during our well-structured lunchtime provision.
  • Is committed to inclusion and equality of opportunity for all.
  • Is able to maintain confidentiality on all school matters.

We would love to meet caring, hardworking people who want to make a difference to our children's learning and well-being. Visits are warmly encouraged and these will take place from Monday 5th to Thursday 22nd October. Please contact Debra Darkin, School Business Manager on (01709) 531855 to arrange an appointment.
