    About Camden

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

    About the team/service

The mission of Camden Adult Community Learning (ACL) is to encourage and support adults to make their first steps back into learning and so become more active economically, in their families and communities, and maintain better health.

We provide learning opportunities in a wide variety of community venues, focused on deprived areas where we can make a difference for adults and their families. Information, Advice and Guidance is the business of all staff and volunteers at Camden ACL.

What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and insightful 0.4 FTE Maths Coordinator to join our team.

Working alongside a 0.6 FTE Maths Coordinator, as part of our new Adult Essential Skills department, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing and managing flexible and innovative adult Maths engagements. You will plan and teach relevant and motivating one to one and small group sessions to adults in Camden, including Maths related sessions on financial awareness.

You will gather and provide information regarding Maths provision across the borough, and ensure that residents are supported to access appropriate courses. You will also promote Maths learning opportunities to local community organisations, and that learner views and other data are collected and presented effectively.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS. Please note Camden also offers the DBS update service.
