Midday Supervisor

- Supervise pupils during the lunch period in the dining hall, playground areas and school premises, ensuring the safety, welfare, physical and mental well-being of pupils and the maintenance of good order and discipline.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children, providing emotional support where necessary.
- Arrange and supervise appropriate play and physical activities under the direction of the Senior Supervisor.
- Ensure that all pupils who suffer any injury or accident are dealt with appropriately in accordance with the school’s agreed accident reporting procedures.
- Encourage all pupils to eat, and to assist children with cutting up food, etc where appropriate to e.g. age of child, need of child, as necessary.
- Are patient, flexible, and committed to meeting pupils' individual needs.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Can build positive relationships with children, and staff.
- Are proactive and willing to use their initiative.
- Have experience working with children (school-based experience desirable but not essential).
- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.

The successful candidate must be able to use their own initiative, be willing to work as part of a team and have the ability to organise games. Support and training will be available.
