There is an exciting and new opportunity within the Redbridge Fostering Team for a Mockingbird Liaison and Recruitment Worker.

Redbridge is part of the DfE Fostering Recruitment and Retention Programme and the post is part of the essential support to the Mockingbird programme and Fostering Service.

This is an organised and proactive role supporting the delivery of the Mockingbird model, including co-ordination of fostering constellations and pods, carer engagement, recruitment activity and performance tracking.


The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:

  • Strong people skills and the ability to communicate well with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds
  • Experience of working with children, young people and their families
  • Excellent writing skills and confident presenting to groups of people
  • Committed to achieving positive outcomes for children
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, proactive and reliable
  • The ability to work independently but equally thrives within a team environment
  • Energetic, sociable and creative
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, travel and work evenings and weekends when required
