Are you a registered nurse with a passion for employee wellbeing and occupational health? Do you want to make a real difference to the health, safety and success of a diverse workforce?

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our Workforce Health Service. This is an exciting opportunity to provide expert occupational health advice and support, helping employees remain healthy, safe and productive at work.

About the Role
As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting the Council's operational effectiveness by delivering high-quality, evidence-based occupational health services.

You will undertake:
• Management and self-referrals
• Pre-placement health assessments
• Fitness for work medicals, including driver and night worker assessments
• Health surveillance programmes
• Wellbeing initiatives and health promotion activities
• Occupational health advice to managers, HR colleagues and employees

We are looking for someone who:
• Is a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Holds an Occupational Health qualification or has substantial occupational health experience across a variety of settings
• Has strong clinical assessment skills and sound occupational health knowledge
• Can communicate confidently and effectively with employees, managers and stakeholders at all levels
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Is confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrates a commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice

This role requires the ability to travel across Council sites. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is desirable. Reasonable adjustments will be considered for applicants with a disability. The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.

This role is based in the UK. Home Office guidance states that candidates must evidence their right to work in the UK prior to commencing employment, either as a UK or Irish citizen, under the EU Settlement scheme or having secured any other relevant work visa.
