Peripatetic Support Assistant

About the Role:
- We’re looking for a dedicated Support Assistant to join our Peripatetic Service at Sherwood Court, Wakefield. This vital service operates 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, delivering high-quality care to people in their own homes.
- The post is for 21.00 hours per week
- You’ll work on a 4-week rolling Rota, including:
Morning shifts: 07:00 – 14:00
Evening shifts: 16:00 – 23:00
- Weekends and bank holidays (enhanced pay rates apply)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting individuals to remain in their own homes
- Promoting independence and person- centred care i.e. Washing/dressing/Bathing/Toileting/Meals & Medication
- Working collaboratively with professionals and agencies
- Treating every person with dignity and respect

Essential requirements:
- Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- GCSE Grades D–G in Math’s and English or
- Functional Skills Level 1 in Math’s and English
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential
Desirable (but not required):
Don’t have the Level 2 qualification, No problem! We’ll provide full training and fund your qualification after successful completion of your probation period.
