Responsible for several categories of spend, you will work with internal clients to deliver best value, while maintaining compliance with procurement regulations and the Council's Constitution. Balancing a challenging financial landscape and the need to deliver the best outcomes for our citizens, while embedding the Procurement Act, present a demanding but rewarding opportunity for our Service, in which Procurement & Supply Chain Managers play a pivotal role.
With strong technical skills and a background in the procurement cycle, you will be skilled at working with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and deliver procurement and contract management strategies. Commercial acumen and the ability to negotiate, while seeing the bigger picture, are key qualities for success. You will also be an effective line manager, supporting others to develop their potential.

- Full-time employees work 37 hours per week, and we offer a generous holiday entitlement, rising to 31 days per year after 5 years&© service.
Although we offer hybrid-working, the successful candidate will need to ensure they can attend in-person meetings in Sheffield, usually in our centrally based offices, when required. All meetings are during standard working hours. Site visits and / or face-to-face meetings with clients, suppliers or partners may also be required as part of the role.
Candidates must hold the appropriate right to work in the UK and will be required to supply evidence if invited to interview.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.

Salary range
- £45,718 - £49,764 per year
