Our Team:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Council’s Procurement Team, providing expertise, guidance, and end-to-end procurement support across the organisation. The team is committed to delivering value for money and improved outcomes for the people of Halton. You’ll work in a small, friendly team dealing with a wide range of spend categories across the authority and respective spend areas.
The role involves providing day-to-day procurement advice, monitoring the delivery of specific projects relating to spend analysis and market research and supporting the preparation of contracts and tender documents. The post holder will also need to have good communication and analytical expertise as well as the ability to organise and prioritise daily tasks and workload.
We are looking for somebody who is highly motivated with the ability to create good working relationships both across the Council and its partners and with external suppliers.
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday
Your Contributions:
• Receive, analyse and interpret data to produce accurate management information and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Work collaboratively with other public sector organisations to achieve value for money and drive efficiency savings through procurement activities.
• Prioritise and organise a busy workload while communicating effectively with stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with hands-on experience in Word and Excel.
