Howard Park Community School is warm, welcoming, one form entry school which sits in the heart of its community. We strive to improve standards and outcomes for all the children in our care through the varied experiences and nurturing environment that we provide.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will work in our well-regarded Provision Base to support a group of children to develop their social, emotional and learning needs. The role will involve working alongside other members of staff, under the direction of the class teacher, to work with small groups and 1-1 with some pupils at different times of the day.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Relate well to children, especially those with significant SEND
• Ideally have an understanding of early child development and how children with SEND learn
• Are able to work as part of a team
• Are enthusiastic, caring and self-motivated
• Have a positive approach
• Can use their initiative
