About Camden
Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.
How You’ll Be Involved
In this role, you will carry out technical assessments to validate potential latent defects, inspecting building fabric, mechanical and plumbing systems often at short notice. You’ll gather accurate data, measurements and test results, producing clear and detailed defect reports. Working independently at height, in confined spaces and on high‑rise roofs, you’ll ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations while managing remedial works and ensuring effective technical solutions are delivered.
You will use strong diagnostic and analytical skills to challenge contractors and ensure all work meets required standards. You’ll complete pre‑, during‑ and post‑inspections, independently and with stakeholders, issuing conclusive technical reports and meeting deadlines set by the Repairs Operations Manager. You’ll also update multiple defect cases using the internal tracking system, keeping all records accurate for weekly review meetings. You’ll handle latent defect claims with clear, evidence‑based reasoning and apply the same professional approach to related customer complaints. The role also includes reviewing and processing invoices, raising works orders and prioritising tasks assigned by the Repairs Operations Manager.
You will take full ownership of communication, providing proactive and structured updates without prompting. Working collaboratively with contractors, consultants and colleagues, you’ll support the timely resolution of defect and repair matters. The role also requires attending sites using company pool vehicles and safely accessing hard‑to‑reach areas in line with health and safety procedures.

You bring a calm, professional approach to managing customer complaints and resolving issues with fairness and clarity, and ideally have experience within aftercare or defects management. Naturally organised and proactive, you plan your workload well, keep others informed and work collaboratively with contractors, colleagues and residents to achieve the best outcomes.
