SEND Teaching Assistant (Fixed Term)

Governors are seeking to appoint an excellent SEND Teaching Assistant who will be able to work
effectively as part of a team.

In choosing a SEND Teaching Assistant, we will be looking for someone who is

• Work alongside the class teacher and SENDCO to support children with additional needs.
• Have knowledge and experience of working with children with additional needs across
EYFS/KS1 and KS2.
• Support Work in Schools Level 2 essential.
• Experience of working/caring for children with medical/SEN needs.
• Have a proven track record of nurturing and engaging positively with children in both indoor
and outdoor environments.
• Be flexible, show initiative and work well as part of a team.
• Be willing to take on training and participate in additional CPD as required and work with
other professionals, including outside agencies.
• Be committed to inclusion for all
• Promote and embed our school values
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Build strong positive partnerships with our parents/families throughout their child’s journey
and the whole school community
• Lead by example; Being hardworking and dedicated
• Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Be organised with an ability to prioritise and use their initiative
