Job Description
Working 3 days per week, the SENDCo will lead, manage, and evaluate provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across the primary school. Working in partnership with the full-time Assistant SENDCo, the SENDCo will drive the school’s strategic vision for inclusion, deliver high-impact staff CPD, oversee the direction of the SEND Hub Base, and ensure robust quality assurance across all adaptive teaching practices, individual learning plans, and statutory Section F provisions.
Our SENDCO will also be part of a network of supportive and active working relationships with other SENDCOs across our locality, providing opportunities to share expertise, collaborate and develop practice. The school is well resourced, including two dedicated sensory rooms, and we are committed to ensuring that children with SEND are supported to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Responsibilities
- Shape, articulate, and implement an ambitious whole-school vision for inclusion and SEND strategy alongside the Head of Inclusive Practice.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the school’s SEND Hub Base, ensuring it delivers targeted, high-quality provision.
- Line-manage and direct the workload of the full-time Assistant SENDCo to ensure seamless operational management across the week.
- Maintain full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice (2015), Equality Act (2010), and local authority frameworks.
