Our Team:

Halton Borough Council ICT Services is committed to helping schools and academies manage and administer their data effectively and efficiently so it can be used as a strategic resource. As an Accredited SIMS and Arbor Support Unit, our team provides educational establishments with a comprehensive support package to ensure effective management and support of their MIS system, whilst providing their staff with the support and training required to effectively administer their schools data.

Our service is delivered and supported by our highly skilled, dedicated MIS Support Team who have unparalleled expertise in the EES SIMS Suite of applications, Arbor MIS and statutory regulations and requirements. Our Support Team are available to provide Schools with expert advice, support and guidance on how to get the best from their investment, improve processes, manage data and provide support and guidance in all areas of statutory requirements and regulations, including Census, Assessment Returns and evidence compliance

Hours: 37 per week

Your Contributions:

The Senior SIMS Data School Support Officer is responsible for supporting schools and academies with the use and management of their data and associated SIMS modules together with supporting schools with their data governance including impact of GDPR.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience with School Management Information Systems (SIMS and integrated modules)
  • In-depth knowledge of GDPR and data compliance in education
  • Advanced ICT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised, deadline-driven, and a proactive problem solver
  • Collaborative team player with a commitment to quality and ongoing development
