    About Camden
At London Borough of Camden, we’re building somewhere everyone can thrive. We want Camden to be a place where everyone has the opportunity to succeed and where our communities feel proud of the spaces they live, work and visit.

    About the role
You’ll play a key role in shaping how Camden’s libraries connect people with books, ideas and opportunities to learn.

Working closely with the Development Librarian, you’ll support the delivery of reader development and stock services, helping ensure our collections and programmes reflect the needs of our diverse communities. You’ll coordinate stock, resolve catalogue and order issues, liaise with suppliers and run reports to support performance and service improvements.

You’ll also support and promote reader development activity, including book clubs, reading challenges and cultural events, engaging residents both within libraries and out in the community.

    About you
You’ll have experience working in a library, archive or similar setting, with a good understanding of how library services support communities.

You’re organised, proactive and confident using IT systems and data, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively.

You’ll be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and have a genuine interest in books, reading and community engagement, with a commitment to delivering an inclusive and accessible service.
