About us
The MH Outreach team is a short term mental health reablement service which offers 1:1 and group based support aimed at supporting people with managing their mental wellbeing.
The Role
Two exciting opportunities have arisen in the Mental Health Outreach team, both posts are permanent and 30 hours per week.
These posts will support the team to deliver 1:1 short term agreed support packages to individuals with mental health needs as part of our star support service and to support our creative remedies arts and wellbeing project.
It would be advantageous for all of these post if you have a background or knowledge in supporting people with Mental illness and/or addictions and/or an interest and passion for the arts.
Whats needed
We are looking for flexible, motivated people, with a background in providing community based mental health support who are able to work independently, sometimes under pressure and have sound planning and organisational skills.
The successful candidates will join a lively, supportive and committed team. You will be responsible for supporting individuals with agreed short term packages of support aimed at assisting people to manage their mental wellbeing. You will link in with and work closely with a wide range of internal and external partners.
All applicants should have an understanding of mental health, substance misuse and community wellbeing issues. Personal experience and/or experience of working in these areas are essential. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with workers from other agencies or disciplines.
An induction period will be undertaken and workers will be expected to participate in occasional evening and weekend work.

DBS clearance is required.
