- Job description
- Meal preparation (breakfast and evening meal) and domestic tasks around such as laundry, cleaning the home and with cat litter maintenance and hygiene.
- Full personal care (help with dressing and appropriate dressing for the weather, personal hygiene, washing body, oral health)
- Encouraging social interaction and inclusion and providing emotional support.
- Female workers only.
- The role will work across both lady’s home and lady’s good friends home across the road.
- Be motivated, proactive and able to work on their own initiative.
- Be patient, caring and understanding.
- Have good communication skills (clear and effective communication).
- Be able to build a positive relationship with the individual to both encourage and support them.
- Have previous experience caring for an individual with dementia.
- Must have use of own car.
- Be comfortable with animals to assist with the individual's 1 cat.
About the recipient
The individual is female, 75 years old and resides in Bridlington. They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them due to having dementia.
They like/enjoy keeping things clean, neat and tidy, enjoys folding things and has a good sense of design.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Hours
4 hours per week across Saturdays and Sundays – 30 hour per AM / 30 mins Tea call / 1 hour per PM.
