The Governors of Dee Point Primary School wish to appoint a temporary 32.5-hour Grade 6 teaching assistant to support one of our pupils who is within one of our bespoke Resource Provision SEND classrooms through British Sign Language. The person would need:

  • Experience of working with SEN and the ability to adapt BSL to a lower level to meet individual pupil needs is essential.
  • Has BSL at Level 2 with relevant experience or Level 3.
  • Has secure knowledge of deafness and deaf awareness.

This role is strictly tied to the child's educational placement. Consequently, the employment relationship shall automatically terminate upon the child transitioning from, leaving, or changing their current school, with no requirement for additional redundancy or extended notice periods beyond the date of the school transition.
