Teaching Assistant - Barkisland Primary School

Starting from November 3rd 2026. Temporary position until July 21st 2027 (initially).

We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to work within our Year 2 class. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support the social, emotional and academic development of our children. You will provide support for individual pupils and groups of children, helping them to engage positively with their learning and develop confidence and independence.

The role will also include lunchtime supervision, supporting children to have a happy, safe and positive lunchtime experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and who will contribute positively to our warm, supportive and inclusive school community.
