- Working in the classroom supporting both as a general TA and supporting a child with an Education Healthcare Plan
- Ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of the pupils during the midday break.
- To supervise the pupils in the dining hall/ playground or the classroom depending on the weather, and organise games and activities accordingly when necessary.

St Martin’s CE Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate General Teaching Assistant, to support a child with additional needs, following the direction of the Class Teacher.
The position is fixed term initially until 31/08/2031 dependant on the children remaining in the school. The successful candidates will ideally have experience of working with children and will be able to supervise children and relate to them in a friendly and caring manner, whilst also being firm and fair. You will also be willing to develop your own knowledge and skills in supporting a pupil with social and emotional needs. You will need to be a good communicator and able to build strong relationships with both pupils and staff.
Our Class system: Class 1 (Nursery and Reception); Class 2 (Years 1 and 2); Class 3 (Years 3 and 4) and Class 4 (Years 5 and 6). This job is to be a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, supporting a child with additional needs in Class 2 (Year 2 child).

This position will be for the following hours, term-time only (30 hours per week):
Monday to Friday: 8:45am – 3:15pm, with a half an hour lunch break.
