Teaching Assistant Level 2

SCHOOL VACANCY

Headlands Primary School are seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to provide support for a Year 6 child with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

• Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent
• Experience in a classroom environment, especially supporting children within mainstream primary within the last 2 years
• Knowledge/experience of working with children with SEN needs
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to plan and organise and to use own initiative
• The ability to assist with assessment and monitoring of pupil progress
• Committed to maintaining high standards
• Flexible and team player

The working pattern is: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings 9.00 to 13.30 - 22 hours and 30 minutes per week.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We require the successful applicant to undertake an enhanced Criminal Record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is subject to the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009 and as such shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a Disqualification Declaration. Any information supplied will be discussed at interview.
