Our Team:

Halton People into Jobs (Halton Borough Council) offers a range of services to help local residents address barriers to employment i.e. debt/money advice, health improvement, training, skills for life. Employment Specialists also help participants access support through a network of expert specialist organisations.

Your Contributions:

We are looking for a committed, experienced and qualified Team Leader to work within the Council’s Employment, Learning and Skills division. The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance, supervision and development of systems and processes ensuring accurate and compliant storage of all data held on the systems.

Working under the direction of the one of the Welfare to Work and Health Manager, the postholder will line manage a team providing a bespoke employment support service for people with health conditions and/or complex barriers who have been referred to Halton People into Jobs to assist them in seeking, obtaining and sustaining employment.

The successful candidate will undertake timely reviews and accurate transmission of this data in a variety of forms. In particular, statutory funding agencies in order to draw down appropriate funding for the service and comply with inspection and funding regimes.

Ensuring staff are well informed and motivated to contribute to improvements in processes and procedures that will deliver efficiencies and service enhancements, with regard to divisional strategies, quality standards and programmes of work. Undertake continuous professional development to ensure up to date working knowledge of the business use and benefits of existing and emerging systems and processes and, where appropriate, make recommendations for their application.

Undertake quality assurance checks/caseload reviews to ensure contract requirements and service standards are fully met. Engagement and coordination with government agencies on an operational and strategic basis.

Previous experience of working within a similar role line managing a front-line delivery team on a day-to-day basis is required or the ability to demonstrate transferable skills outlined within the specification.
