ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently looking for a Team Manager to join our Children in Care (CiC) service. This role leads statutory work that can change the lives of children and young people in the care of the Local Authority. You will spend the majority of your time supporting your team of 6 social workers on complex and rewarding cases.
Team Managers play a key role in our Circles of Support by ensuring that our social workers feel supported and that high-quality practice is delivered to children and families. You’ll be expected to show strong but compassionate leadership and create a secure team environment of open discussion and challenge, allowing systemic practice to flourish.
You will supervise newly qualified social workers and students, and ensure that children in care receive the highest possible standards of care, support, and advocacy.

ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for resilient, experienced Team Managers who are passionate about improving the lives of children and young people in care. You pride yourself on supporting and developing people and practice, approaching management with energy and enthusiasm whilst always finding time to lend a sympathetic ear to your team.
You are a qualified social work manager registered with Social Work England, with experience in statutory social work management, including working with children in care. You understand the challenges faced by children and young people in care and are confident leading a team of practitioners towards life-changing outcomes.

Salary range
- £55,620 - £58,692 per year
