Are you enthusiastic, customer-focused, technically knowledgeable, with good communication skills and do you enjoy delivering high quality services to improve the condition of housing for our residents?

We are looking for someone like you to join our team!

If we are a good fit for you, you will have the opportunity to work within a supportive team on a wide range of housing cases, from disrepair and HMO licensing to harassment and illegal eviction.

What will you be doing?

  • Responding to service requests and giving appropriate advice.
  • Carrying out a range of inspections and investigations and encouraging landlords to remedy defects.
  • Taking appropriate enforcement action where necessary.
  • Bringing HMO’s up to standard and actively seeking out unlicensed HMOs.

About you

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

  • A relevant qualification or experience with property and a working knowledge of the legislation and regulations relating to housing standards.
  • The ability to deal with challenging situations using tact and discretion
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work without supervision, prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written skills, with the ability to write schedules of work, summarise accurately and convey complex information
