We are seeking a committed and passionate tutor to deliver high-quality adult learning programmes in ESOL.

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic tuotr to join our team at Wakefield Adult Education Service. The purpose of this role is to deliver ESOL courses to adults, across a range of levels including accredited and non-accredited pathways.

What you will do:

• Deliver high-quality ESOL teaching across accredited and non-accredited provision, supporting learners to achieve their goals and progress to further learning opportunities.
• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and appropriately challenging lessons that meet the needs of learners at all levels.
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources that meet curriculum, accreditation and RARPAP requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records and documentation.

Working hours, days and times to be discussed at interview but will include one evening per week (either Tuesday or Thursday).

Essential requirements:

• Level 4/5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE or DTLLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Level 2 in English/Maths
• Proven experience of planning and delivery teaching and assessment practice.
• Previous experience of teaching ESOL is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check in line with our safer recruitment policy.
