Are you looking for a role with variety, working with teams across the Council, where you can be relied on for your expertise and experience?
Do you want to be part of an enthusiastic and growing team?
The Strategy and Performance Team at Waverley Borough Council plays a pivotal role in ensuring the Council's ambitious corporate strategy outcomes are met. The team is responsible for developing strategic plans, monitoring risk and performance, and ensuring that the Council's activities align with our long-term goals and the needs of our communities through evidence led policy making and service planning.
As a Policy and Performance Officer at Waverley you can make a significant contribution by being at the heart of shaping policies and strategies that make a real and tangible difference to our borough. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a wide variety of teams and partners (internally and externally) to create and deliver important strategies and projects. We are particularly keen to improve our approach to data and insight, using it to shape services and evaluate their impact. As well as this, our recently adopted Corporate Strategy commits us to undertaking a range of further improvements, including in resident engagement and using the outcomes to shape service delivery.
In this role you will be involved in a variety of workstreams including the policy and strategy making process, research and analysis, drafting policy documents and briefings, supporting services to implement strategies and strategic change, and monitoring performance.
No two days are the same and you will have the opportunity to work on a number of priority policy areas. It also offers significant scope to work with councillors and senior officers in driving our ambitious agenda forward.
We need someone with strong communication, people and technology skills, who is excited by working collaboratively.
This is the perfect opportunity to come use your team working skills and develop skills in those areas where you have not yet had direct experience and further develop your career.
This post is a full time role. However, all applications will be welcomed.
