Health and Safety Training Officer

We are recruiting a Health and Safety Training Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Health and Safety Team.

We pay an attractive salary of £34,314 - £37,035 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, passionate professional that can inspire people through training interventions to improve their safety and health at work.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Health and Safety Trainer to join our established team.

The postholder will be responsible for Designing, delivering and evaluating effective training interventions on a wide range of health and safety related subjects to both internal and external customers. You will work closely with all Directorates and Health and Safety Officers to ensure the training delivered supports the Authorities compliance and legislative obligations and staff development.

For the role, we ask that you have:

• A Level 3 qualification in training / learning and development.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and codes of practice.
• Strong, working IT skills including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet and data working, internet and presentation.
• Experience of delivering learning and development to a broad audience and via a variety of methods.
• A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough and South Wales to run courses, attend meetings and training courses, transport equipment, handouts etc.
