The current postholder is retiring after nearly 39 years at the school and we are now seeking to recruit a motivated and experienced replacement.</p>\n<p><strong>The main purpose of the job is:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>To provide a site management service for the school, ensuring that the school premises are maintained in a good state of repair and appearance.</li>\n<li>To be the primary key holder for the site and take overall responsibility for the security, health and safety and day-to-day maintenance and cleanliness of the school site in line with school policies.</li>\n<li>To provide active management of the site to ensure outstanding facilities at all</li>\n<li>To undertake maintenance and small building works as</li>\n<li>To participate fully in all aspects of the life of the school, maintaining good relationships with children, parents and visitors.</li>\n<li>To be a strong team player in support of the school’s operational objectives.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>To succeed in this role, you will have</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience of building maintenance work.</li>\n<li>Current knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations, including COSHH and risk assessments, and how they apply in a school environment.</li>\n<li>The ability to maintain electronic and paper records of site Health and Safety and Premises documentation</li>\n<li>The ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills to communicate with a range of clients, both internal and external.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Reporting to the Headteacher/School Business Manager, this is an important role in ensuring that a professional and effective facilities management service is provided to staff, pupils and visitors using our school premises. </p>\n<p><em>We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
