You will drive and have responsibility for any of the Council’s heavy goods and light goods vehicles including refuse collection, recycling or road sweeping. You should be physically fit, with the ability to work alone and unsupervised. Full training, uniform and PPE will be provided. Experience in working in a similar environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

You will be based at the Council’s Brunel Drive Depot in Newark and possessing a clean Category C driving licence and valid Drivers CPC Card and Qualification is essential.

Working past the usual finish time is sometimes required where there is a need in order to provide a full service to residents.

You will be working with a professional, committed and experienced team who are passionate about supporting us to deliver the objectives as outlined in our Community Plan.

Please note: we reserve the right to close the vacancy early

We offer:

  • Enrolment in the career average local government pension scheme.
