You will join a team dedicated to providing direct legal support to the London Borough of Hounslow’s Children’s Services, rated Good with Outstanding leadership by OFSTED. Whilst Harrow Council will be the employer, the place of work will mostly be Hounslow. In the main you would work solely for Hounslow, allowing you to develop an in-depth knowledge of our client department, as well a strong client relationship. Cross working is sometimes offered or required within the other authorities in our shared service and there may be a requirement to work at another HBPL client premises. We frequently hold remote meetings with our clients, but you would also be required to attend meetings at Hounslow House in the centre of Hounslow, as well as Harrow Council which is the host Authority for the shared service. Our court proceedings are heard in the West London Family Court which is situated only a short distance from the client offices. Our lawyers provide advice on all matters relating to children’s social care functions, including child protection, public law care proceedings, pre-proceedings, fostering and adoption. You will attend face to face and virtual meetings providing robust advice verbally and in writing. There is an opportunity to represent social care clients in court proceedings where required. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Licensing Officer to join our small but busy team. &nbsp;Your full range of duties will include enforcing the relevant provisions under the Licensing Act, Gambling Act, street trading/collections, hackney carriage/private hire, scrap metal dealers, and animal welfare.&nbsp; You will be carrying out site visits and licensed premises inspections, you will therefore need your own car to get around the district.
You will be enthusiastic, committed, self-motivated and have a positive attitude. You must be an excellent communicator with sound time management skills and be confident in dealing with members of the public.&nbsp; You must be able to demonstrate your ability to adapt to changing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
On a typical day, you would:

<li>Determining licensing applications and inspecting premises.</li>
<li>Inspecting vehicles to be licensed.</li>
<li>Responding to licensing related service requests, providing advice and investigating allegations of breaches of licensing conditions.</li>

Duties and Responsibilities
Support for pupils
<ul>
<li>Provide levels of individual attention, reassurance and help as appropriate to the pupil’s needs.</li>
<li>Provide information, advice and opportunities for pupils to establish a healthy life style through their choice of breakfast.</li>
<li>Be responsible for first aid (after training) in the event of accident or injury and provide documentation as required.</li>
<li>Help the supervisor to take appropriate action to minimise health, safety and security risks, which arise during Breakfast and Afterschool Club hours.</li>
<li>Provide advice and assistance as required (depending on age and ability) to enable pupils to develop basic hygiene skills, supporting pupils in respecting their own and others’ needs relating to health and hygiene matters</li>
<li>Promptly report signs of health problems to the supervisor.</li>
<li>Supervise children at arrival/departure and at other designated times in the Breakfast and Afterschool Club environment.</li>
<li>Recognise uncharacteristic behaviour patterns in individual and /or groups of children and report these promptly to the supervisor.</li>
</ul>
Support the Supervisor:
<ul>
<li>Help pupils to select equipment and materials relevant to the task they are undertaking and to use these safely and correctly.</li>
<li>Serve pupils with breakfast and advise the children on healthy choices.</li>
<li>Prepare and set up the breakfast serving area considering safety and accessibility.</li>
<li>Ensure that the area used by Breakfast and Afterschool Club is cleared up and ready for school use.</li>
<li>Update individual children’s records when new information is provided by parents/guardians, under the direction of the Supervisor.</li>
<li>Provide praise and encouragement to pupils to recognise and promote positive pupil behaviour.</li>
<li>Support behaviour management at the beginning, end and during each session.</li>
<li>Where necessary, correct behaviour to maintain order and discipline.</li>
<li>Report uncharacteristic behaviour patterns in individual pupils and incidents of inappropriate behaviour to the senior leader and to keep a record of such behaviour.</li>
<li>Deal with general questions from parents regarding the running of the club and possible available places.</li>
<li>Ensure that information for the school office is collected, collated and passed on as promptly as possible.</li>

You will be working in the Asset Management and Property Services (AMPS) team which is made up of approximately 20 people in 3 teams; Building Surveying, Facilities Management and Estates.
Our Estates team has 4 surveyors and the Estates Manager role sits within this team.
The portfolio is split into two broad areas, the Investment Portfolio and the Operational Portfolio, both of which have assets totalling approximately £100M each.
The operational assets enable us to deliver services and activities administered by the council on behalf of our residents and the investment assets (retail, offices, industrial, residential), are strategic assets held by the council on behalf of the public for either long term investment and revenue income, regeneration/strategic economic benefit, or both.
Your role will be largely focussed on all aspects of asset management within our operational portfolio, which includes some commercial property but also a number of community assets, including commons, cemeteries, open spaces, allotments and recreation grounds.
You will also have responsibility for handling cases relating to easements, rights of way, encroachments, wayleaves, granting of licences, FIO’s and dealing with day-to-day estate matters.
Our 5-year Asset Management Plan (2024-2029) will form a key part of your role.
About you
As well as having a surveying degree, being a member of RICS and showing us that you continue to develop professionally, you will have experience of,

In the academic year 2022-23, we enrolled more than 3500 full time 16-18 students, 8,000 adult learners and over 450 &nbsp;apprentices across our Group. About You
The successful candidates should have a Level 3 in Electrical Installations qualification or above. Due to the complex and technical nature of the Electrical learning programmes, applicants will need to have experience in Electrical Installations and or teaching is preferable. Candidates will have a firm understanding of current electrical practice and preferably have extensive industry experience.
The successful applicant, will coordinate the effective delivery of the Electrical Installation study programmes across various levels providing academic leadership for students. They should also know how to create an exciting curriculum for learners to find engaging, relevant and coherent. Candidates need to keep their skills and knowledge in line with local and national priorities.

As a Lecturer in Electrical Installation, you will develop and maintain up to date industry knowledge, bringing in industry professionals, where possible, that are relevant to the curriculum, now and in the future, which can add to the employability and skills needs of students. You will support and motivate learners to meet their individual aspiration and goals, which will consist of not only their main vocational qualification, but also attendance to Maths and English if required. You will also coordinate the progression and tracking of learners’ achievements. In your role you will lead study programmes to attain outstanding achievement and student retention and progression.
You will have sound organisational skills,&nbsp;your ability to work cooperatively and contribute positively and creatively to a team is also essential.&nbsp;
We welcome candidates with industry experience, and you will have the opportunity to work towards a teaching qualification. The role will require you to&nbsp;work towards a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.&nbsp;

Leading the Countryside Rangers you will work with the Countryside Officer to manage Elmbridge`s diverse and extensive countryside estate. The estate covers 625 hectares of land and you will help with all aspects of countryside management including heathland, woodlands and wetland.
A skilled conservation manager with enthusiasm for nature conservation. 
An enthusiastic individual is sought for an immediate start. Must demonstrate interest in nature conservation and possess a current driving licence.
You will be able to demonstrate that you can,

<li>Implement the annual review of the Countryside Strategy, instigate and assist in its review, including woodland management, nature conservation and public consultation.</li>

We are looking for Deputy Team Manager Occupational Therapist for Brent’s Reablement Team which is&nbsp;an integrated service combining the fast-paced response to Pathway 1 Home First discharges and the delivery of reablement and social care services in a short term response team set up.
