The homes will provide short to medium term placements. This role will require you to register with Ofsted.We provide high quality placements and dedicated support to children and young people to achieve and fulfil their potential.All the homes will have access to therapeutic input and support from a psychologist who helps managers in terms of matching and contribute to the children’s care planning.The 3 children’s homes, comprising of:1 multi-function ‘hub’ offering edge of care and in care services for children and young people with a multi-disciplinary team supporting the delivery of care and support to the children inclusive of a Speech and Language therapist, Psychologist, Police PSCO.2 mainstream homes providing specialist medium to long term placements.We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Residential Home Manager to join our Children’s Care Team. The Children’s Care Team are responsible for responsible for providing warm, relational therapeutic care to our children and young people residing in our residential homes.In this role, you will; develop and lead a passionate team of children’s home care staff, to outstanding practice. Lead culture change and deliver objectives of a residential children’s home using a therapeutic approach.Key Responsibilities:As the Registered Manager, you will:<ul><li>Support the Residential Lead and lead a team of staff ensuring that children and young people are well cared for and are making progress.</li><li>Be accountable for ensuring overall service delivery with responsibility for ensuring the home meets with the requirements.</li><li>Be accountable to Ofsted through inspections.</li><li>Be required to supervise staff, complete audits, develop the workforce and most of all ensuring that the children and young people in your care is paramount.</li></ul>This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Essential Criteria:<ul><li>Proven success as a Children’s Residential Home Manager/Deputy Manager.</li><li>Experience supporting children and young people with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties and complex needs.</li><li>Understanding of the Children’s Home Regulations &amp; Inspection Framework.</li><li>Experience of managing a team/supervising staff.</li><li>Experience of working with partners.</li><li>Minimum Level 3 Health &amp; Social Care Children &amp; Young People or equivalent. Springbrook Residential Home provides disabled children aged 7 – 17 years with overnight short breaks. You will join a dynamic team of support workers in providing support and encouragement to children whilst they are enjoying a short break, promoting their independence, and supporting their independence during bedtime and morning routines. &nbsp;
 Job requirements:
As a ‘Waking Night Support Worker’ you must be flexible, motivated, and committed. You must have a passion for improving the lives of disabled children and their families. You will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification. Additional training is available to ensure we are meeting the needs of all children staying at the home.

Sessional Children's Residential Support Worker - Casual Contract
We have an excellent opportunity available for a Sessional Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated Short Breaks Residential Team here at Wokingham Borough Council.
As a Sessional Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will provide a high standard of care to children or young people living at a home or having a short break. Ensuring that each child has an opportunity, whilst being supported to develop and grow to their full potential.
Bridges is an OFSTED registered residential short breaks service. We are committed to providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with diverse needs. Our passionate team is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Bridges: Hours as required, which can include evenings, weekends &amp; Sleep In duties. There may also be opportunities for waking night work.
Key responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>You will provide a high standard of care to children and young people.</li>
<li>You will have a commitment to inclusive practice</li>
<li>You will be responsible for and adhere to all aspects of safeguarding practices in the home.</li>
<li>You will support the Home Manage to ensure that the service meets it's statutory responsibilities and is compliant to the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.</li>
<li>You will carry out daily tasks including personal care and administration of medication, housekeeping and cleaning.</li>
<li>You will complete good quality child focused records which are completed in a timely manner and are of a high standard.</li>

Candidate requirements: 
<ul>
<li>You will need to hold a Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (England) or be willing to complete this within the first two years of employment.</li>
<li>Experience in working with children, preferably in a residential setting.</li>
<li>Ability to work with young people and their families where there are complex needs or dynamics</li>
<li>Commitment to delivering non-oppressive practice</li>
<li>Ability to work the required shift patterns, to include evening and weekend working.</li>
