 Our Team:
The Specialist Teaching and Advisory Service (STAS) has a team of specialist advisors with experience and qualifications in the areas of Speech, Language and Communication (including Autism), Complex Physical/Medical Needs and Cognition and Learning.&nbsp;We work in settings across Halton providing outreach support and advice in the form of consortiums, training and modelling and support to staff. We work closely with the Educational Psychology Service and are part of the wider SEND Team. Hours:&nbsp;19.5 per week to be worked over 3 days.&nbsp;
 Your Contributions:
 You will work 1:1 with pupils with visual impairment, supporting them and their families, as well as providing INSET and training to settings across Halton.&nbsp;You will complete environmental audits of settings to ensure their suitability for visually impaired learners, including providing advice on Risk Assessments.&nbsp; Our Offer:

Building Control Surveyor x 2
About the role:
We are looking to appoint 2 self-motivated and ambitious registered Building Control Surveyors to join our highly professional and successful Building Control Team.
You will need to hold min Class 2F or 3 registrations with the Building Safety Regulator and have Chartered Member, Member or Fellow Chartered Member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) or alternative acceptable professional body.
You will be responsible for undertaking plan assessment, site inspections and enforcement work across a wide spectrum of works ranging from small domestic projects up to large complex commercial developments subject to the Registration class of the successful candidate.
In addition, the role involves assessing and undertaking any reasonable actions to protect the public from dangerous structures, unauthorised works, demolition work and works that form obstructions to the public highway and participation in the Councils out of hours emergency call out service.
About the candidate:
You will have substantial experience and understanding of the role and functions of Building Control and have a sound knowledge of the Building Regulations, Approved Documents, allied legislation and enforcement procedures.
You’ll have experience of dealing with dangerous buildings and structures and implementing enforcement action when necessary.
Hold Corporate Membership of CABE / RICS or acceptable alternative.
You’ll need to hold Class 2F or 3 Registration with the Building Safety Regulator in respect of Plans assessment and inspection activities.
You’ll need to be able to participate in the Councils out of hours emergency call out service.
You will possess excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills and be able to work both individually and as part of a team.
You will hold a full, valid driving licence and have unrestricted use of a suitable vehicle for business purposes or be able to otherwise demonstrate the ability to travel to locations in an efficient and timely manner.
