This role involves taking enforcement decisions, and working closely with partners such as the Police to resolve community issues. Flexibility is key, as you’ll be required to work outside office hours and travel across the borough.

Enfield Council is committed to creating safer, stronger communities. We work collaboratively with residents, businesses, and partners to deliver high-quality services that make a real difference. Our values - Be Bold, Make a Difference, Show You Care - underpin everything we do. We are proud of our diverse borough and strive to ensure equality and inclusion in all aspects of our work.

About You -

You will have experience in community reassurance or a similar regulatory field, with strong investigative skills and the ability to work independently. Essential qualities include:

  • Ability to converse confidently in English and provide accurate advice to the public.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with residents, businesses, and partners, even in challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and enforcement practices.
  • Ability to undertake regular foot patrols throughout the working day, covering a substantial area as part of the role’s community‑based duties
  • Desirable skills include workload prioritisation and customer service excellence

In addition to a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, we offer:

  • Ongoing professional development and training, including Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) certification.
  • The chance to make a tangible impact on community safety and wellbeing.
  • A supportive team environment that values collaboration and innovation
