We are looking for an experienced museum collections officer to join the cultural services team as we prepare to open a new museum at the Stephenson Memorial Hall in 2026.&nbsp;
Alongside another collections officer, you will be responsible for the care and conservation and the management of Chesterfield Museum’s collections, in line with current curatorial standards, and to make the collections more accessible to a wider audience.&nbsp;
You will have a degree in a relevant discipline and a post-graduate museum studies qualification (curatorial). You will have effective oral and written interpersonal and communication skills, and good research skills. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the Museum Accreditation Scheme and awareness of emergency planning for museum collections. You will have good IT skills, including the use of museum record keeping systems, and knowledge of the SPECTRUM standards for museum documentation. You will have experience of 2D and 3D design and execution for museum displays and exhibitions.&nbsp;

Natural Alternatives is an inclusion programme working with adults and young people with additional needs. Participants work alongside Green Sefton’s teams, helping to deliver our programmes of community engagement, land management and nature conservation.
Green Sefton is an exciting service which manages our special coast, parks and greenspaces: from our beautiful and internationally recognised coastline which supports some of the rarest flora and fauna in the country, to coastal habitats which are rarer than rainforest, through to our historic parks and gardens, 160 other greenspaces, and our sport and recreation facilities. In total, we manage around 5,500ha of land and this includes managing both inland and coastal flood risk too.&nbsp; We are a varied service indeed!
As part of a small dedicated team, the successful applicant will play a key role within the Natural Alternatives programme working with the community covering the parks, coast and other greenspaces across the Borough to help promote, enhance and conserve our landscape.
Applicants will be required to engage with Sefton’s communities to help manage and develop Green Sefton’s green spaces including parks and coastal sites. You should have excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic ambassadors for the Service and enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds, specifically those with additional needs.
Experience of working with or training people with additional needs would be particularly helpful, including safeguarding and well-being requirements for this specialised work, to generate and safely manage activities and events, working alongside other teams in the community and council, in an outdoor setting.
Applicants should ideally be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of caring for green spaces. A background of training or working in parks and leisure management, countryside management or horticulture would be desirable.

This is a proactive and highly visible role focused on tackling anti-social behaviour and enforcing the Northampton Public Space Protection Order (PSPO).You will work collaboratively with the Community Safety Team, Northamptonshire Police, and a range of internal and external partners to reduce incidents of ASB and PSPO breaches through early intervention, intelligence sharing, and coordinated action. Your presence in Northampton Town Centre will serve as a visible deterrent to those engaging in disruptive or unlawful behaviour.Key responsibilities include patrolling designated areas, engaging with the public, issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs), and supporting prosecutions where necessary. You will be expected to build strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders, using a problem-solving approach to address recurring issues and support long-term solutions.This role is ideal for individuals who are community-focused, confident in public engagement, and committed to making a positive impact on public safety and cohesion in Northampton.This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check. You'll support the development of a performance management culture that maximizes productivity and positive outcomes across the borough. Leading a team of Community Safety Enforcement Officers, you'll ensure they receive ongoing training and development to excel in their roles. Producing service plans and spearheading initiatives aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour and improving local environmental quality will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, assisting the Head of Community Safety in managing budgets and attending various meetings and forums to ensure the voices of Camden residents and businesses are heard is crucial. Prioritizing activities commissioned by the Camden Community Safety Partnership, focusing on critical issues such as women's safety, youth safety, drug misuse, and hate crime, will also be essential. Casual Class Instructor 
An opportunity has arisen within Sefton Council for us to recruit Group Exercise Instructors to help support our six Leisure Centres Class Programme.
We are looking for qualified, enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our pool of ‘casual’ Group Exercise Instructors to teach our popular classes at Bootle Leisure Centre, Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre, Dunes Splash World, Litherland Sports Park, Meadows Leisure Centre and Netherton Activity Centre.
Required and desired classes include:
Les Mills - BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyBalance, Indoor Group Cycling, Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, Aqua and HIIT/Bootcamp, along with many others. A relevant industry/activity qualification appropriate for the class undertaken is essential.
Job requirements:

<li>The successful candidate would need to hold a recognised Group Exercise qualification.</li>
<li>The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work accurately. A confident and professional approach when dealing with staff and customers is required.</li>
