The role of Front of House Membership Advisor bridges the day-to-day front of house duties of answering calls, booking in members on the computerised till systems, ensuring access control in our receptions and handing customer queries and keeping the reception areas running smoothly with the important role of being the first point of contact for each prospective and existing valued customer.
We’re looking for applications from people who can deliver a high standard of customer service and a proactive approach to supporting our mission to create active and healthy communities. You’ll be part of a team delivering informative tours of our facilities, conducting needs analysis, setting up members on the membership database, completing sales and processing payments.&nbsp; You’ll also be a trusted first port of call for helping members with their concerns and getting them on their way to successes.

Front of House Membership Advisor

Are you an enthusiastic team player who enjoys a working in a dynamic customer-facing environment?We are looking for someone like you to join our team at BEAM.What will you be doing? Some of the key responsibilities include: • Provide high standards of customer care at all times. • To be familiar with the venues ever changing artistic offer of shows, films, and events. • To be familiar with the food and beverage menu. • Serve drinks, food, and confectionery across the building. • To maintain the required level of cleanliness across all front of house and back of house areas as required by the Hospitality and Operations Manager (including equipment, washrooms, rooms for hire, and auditoria). • Undertake the manual handling of goods, refuse and equipment. • Follow stock rotation procedures to minimise waste. • Assist customers to purchase tickets at the ticketing kiosks as necessary • Operate all relevant aspects of the EPOS system. About you This role will suit individuals with: • excellent customer service and communication skills • a friendly and professional manner. • a flexible and adaptable approach to work. • the ability to work well under pressure. • a positive and proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will have: • Good numeracy and literacy skills. • Previous experience of working in a team. • Experience of working in a hospitality and food service environment is desirable. • A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but training will be given. • Experience of using an EPOS system is desirable but training will be given. • Customer Service experience is desirable. • Excellent communication skills. • Basic computer and IT skills. • Energy and enthusiasm to work in a busy arts environment. What is required?
• &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to be resilient, reliable, and conscientious. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Enjoy working as part of a team. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Have excellent customer care skills. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Have a friendly and effective manner. • &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to converse at ease with members of the public in fluent English to provide advice. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Perform the safe manual handling, setting up and breaking down heavy equipment within operational guidelines. • &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to be organised and be calm under pressure. • &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to gain the ‘National Pool Lifeguard Qualification’, which can be funded by us (there is a payback of training fees if you do not qualify within the probationary period). • &nbsp; &nbsp;On qualifying you will need to pass regular competency tests. • &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to pass a swim test which will be conducted at interview stage. • &nbsp; &nbsp;This role requires a disclosure and barring service check as it is working with children and vulnerable clients.
