Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is committed to delivering high quality service to our community. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance & Parking Systems Analyst to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient operation of our Financial and Parking systems with scope for analysis of data to support and develop a modern, user-friendly service.
Key Responsibilities:
- In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting Tunbridge Wells Borough Council’s Finance and Parking Services by using data analytics to inform decision-making across Finance, Procurement, and Parking services.
- You’ll collect, collate, and cleanse data from various internal and external sources to create composite datasets for analysis, while ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Your work will involve developing and maintaining performance dashboards, identifying and resolving data discrepancies, and streamlining processes through system integration.
- Additionally at times you’ll support the administration of key financial and parking systems, including providing technical support and training to staff.
About You:
- We’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual with experience working with large datasets and financial systems. You should be confident using tools like Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, Power BI or similar analytics tools to extract insights and support decision-making. Experience with system integration, APIs, and data transfer methods is highly desirable.
- You’ll need excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to colleagues across the organisation.
- A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject is required, and a background in finance, IT, or data analysis would be a strong advantage.
- You will be open and trustworthy, supporting change and will seek to improve service delivery to enable the council to achieve its Digital First ambitions.
