About the Role
As a Data Protection Coordinator for Reigate &amp; Banstead Borough Council you will play a crucial role in supporting the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, particularly GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of data protection policies, managing data subject requests, conducting assessments, and supporting various compliance-related activities.&nbsp;
This role will work closely with the other Data Protection Coordinator as part of a job share. An opportunity has arisen within Sefton Council for a casual leisure attendant post based at Bootle Leisure Centre, to work in the role of a lifeguard.
You are required to hold a full - current lifeguarding certificate and will be expected to provide poolside as well as dry-side area supervision. You will be required to work as part of a team, ensuring customer safety and high standards of service and customer care at all times.&nbsp; This role requires constant supervision of the poolside; you will need to be fully focused with the ability to remain vigilant, alert, and attentive at all times.&nbsp; This position also involves the setting up of equipment to meet the needs of the programmed activities and to undertake cleaning tasks to ensure the centre is well presented to the highest standard.&nbsp;
Ideal candidates will need to be available to work throughout the summer holiday period June to September inclusive.
Candidates will have a friendly and approachable manner to always maintain a high level of customer service.&nbsp; Candidates must attend monthly training sessions to demonstrate competency and maintain a valid qualification.
Qualifications
It is essential you have a current Royal Lifesaving Society National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. A first aid at work qualification, AED and pool plant operator’s certificate are also desirable.
Skills and Experience
The Leisure Attendant should ideally be able to demonstrate a level of experience and knowledge commensurate with the position.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Rates Inspector to join our busy Revenues team on an initial 18-month fixed term contract.
Woking Borough Council offer hybrid working for this role, the successful candidate would be expected to spend some time in the office. A large part of the role involves external site inspections, you will require a vehicle and driving licence.
Training will be provided to the successful candidate. Previous experience is not essential, the salary will be reflective of experience in a similar role.
The main duties of the role include:

<li>Carry out external site visits to non-domestic properties and new buildings under construction</li>
<li>Issue Business Rates completion notices for new build properties</li>
<li>Refer non-domestic property alterations to the Valuation Office Agency</li>
<li>Processing alterations to the local rating list.</li>
<li>Liaise with external bodies such as the Valuation Office Agency, as required.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with internal services, including Property Services and Finance.</li>
<li>Set up new Business Rates accounts</li>
<li>Award relief Business Rates relief in line with legislation and guidance</li>
<li>Ensure Business Rates liability is correct on accounts before commencing recovery</li>
<li>Support the Revenues, Recovery and Customer Service teams with Business Rates queries.</li>
<li>Deal promptly and courteously with all forms of communication with the public, in accordance with the Council’s Customer Care Code and other agreed guidelines.</li>
<li>Any other duties at a level appropriate to the post, as requested by the Revenues Manager.</li>
</ul>
The successful candidate should meet the above criteria whilst being flexible and adaptable.
The salary offered will be reflective of qualifications and experience.

We want every visit to our clubs to be inclusive and motivating experience for our customers. Our Fitness Instructors are integral to delivering this and helping our customers to achieve their fitness goals. Additionally, our Fitness Instructors assist the Leisure Centre Management in the supervision, safety, maintenance of equipment and customer retention within the Fitness Suite. The successful candidates must have a CIMSPA accredited Gym Instructor Qualification of level 2 or above (previously REPS accredited).
Due to the nature of activities undertaken (i.e. regulated activity with children), this post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.&nbsp; Any provisional offer of employment made will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate, to include an annually renewed DBS Update Service subscription for the purposes of ongoing satisfactory status checks throughout employment, in accordance with Company Policies.
