<h4>Job summary</h4><p>We are looking for a Content Designer who is enthusiastic about user-centred design and wants to make a positive impact in helping to protect residents and improve the safety and standard of all buildings in England. Our ambition is to produce a best-in-class web presence that delivers BSR guidance, content and services that meet user needs.</p><p><strong>Working pattern</strong></p><p>Part-time working hours are available for this role. Flexible working is also available.</p><h4>Job description</h4><p>The government announced on 30 June 2025 that the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) is to become an Arm's Length Body (ALB) of Ministry for Housing, Communities, and Local Government (MHCLG) and will be moved out of HSE. This is the natural next step in the development of the regulator and was always a likely outcome once BSR was established. It has been confirmed that the ALB will be a Non-crown, Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB), and as such its employees will be Public Servants, rather than Civil Servants. </p><p>Any successful candidates recruited to this vacancy will initially be onboarded to HSE, with a move to the new NDBP to be undertaken in due course.</p><p>The role requires a practitioner with content design experience who will define and assure best practice, making sure our content aligns to BSR’s strategy and objectives, while meeting the needs of our users. <h4>Job summary</h4><p>Engagement and Policy Division (EPD) is at the heart of how HSE reduces risk and protects people and places – it leads on HSE’s communications and business insight interventions and helps shape our policy and frontline inspection interventions.</p><p>The strength of EPD is our ability to bring to bear our collective capability on policy, operational strategy, insight and communications, to support HSE’s prevention mission on such important issues as promoting proportionality in health and safety management and our better regulation work.</p><p>These are operational delivery posts within a product safety team in the Technical Support and Engagement Group (TSEG), one part of EPD, responsible for providing technical, regulatory, and industries-related skills and knowledge.</p><p>The posts sit in TSEGs Operational Delivery Unit and requires the successful candidates to be able to bring experience of the regulation and investigation of product safety issues.</p><p>Our work protects the GB marketplace from unsafe and substandard work equipment and machinery, which risks the health and safety of users, undermines standards and puts businesses at a competitive disadvantage. <h4>Job summary</h4><p>The Pesticide Operational Support Team (POST), supports the Chemical Regulations Division in the processing and delivering of pesticide authorisations. The team is an operational delivery team that is responsible for processes for incoming applications, and the processing and issuing of all pesticide authorisations. </p><p>Health &amp; Safety Executive (HSE) is seeking a proactive and collaborative leader to manage a team of up to eight operational support staff. This role is central to ensuring high-quality delivery and smooth operations. </p><p>The successful candidate will combine strong organisational skills with authentic leadership, ensuring the team meets regular deadlines and maintains accuracy in all processes.
