You will be based at one of the Area Housing Offices working as part of the Customer Repairs team reporting directly to the Senior Customer Repairs Officer and Assistant Customer Repairs Manager The Customer Repairs Officer role will be supporting the Building Repairs teams providing a repairs service. You will work flexibly in a call centre and be part of a rota which is regularly reviewed and adjusted appropriately to meet the demands of the service undertaking your contracted hours. You will act as the main point of contact for residents, leaseholders, PCC employees and site managers who are requesting repairs. You will need to be able to collect accurate repair information and ask effective questions ensuring that the right resource is allocated to undertake the repair at the right time that is convenient with the customer. You will also support all the Building Repairs teams providing a repairs service by carrying out a range of technical administrative duties including, updating repairs following authorisation of quotes, customer satisfaction surveys, administering Disabled Facility Grants (DFG) requests, uploading information to our stock database, arranging surveyor and annual service appointments. The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Assistant Technical Officer based in the Council’s multi award winning Home Improvement Agency. The postholder will support the Technical Officers to deliver services aimed at supporting private sector vulnerable residents, undertaking repairs and disabled adaptations to their homes.
You will have experience of surveying residential properties and supervising building works. You should hold a minimum of a Higher National Qualification in a building related subject, or equivalent relevant experience.&nbsp;
The post holder will have the ability to work with minimal supervision and be capable of prioritising workloads. You will have direct contact with colleagues in other services, key partner organisations and members of the public.&nbsp; You will have excellent numeracy, keyboard and communication skills and will be committed to high standards of customer service.
A full current UK driving licence is essential, as the post holder will be required to carry out home visits throughout the district.&nbsp;
The hours of work for this position are 22.2 hours per week, flexible working hours between Monday to Friday 9.00 until 5.00 pm. This post will be classed as a hybrid worker with the ability to work from home and council sites within the district.

The role – Retirement Housing Scheme Manager&nbsp;
You'll manage our retirement housing scheme Mary Webster House in Camden. Mary Webster House has 14 flats and residents are over 65 years of age and are semi-independent. We're looking for someone who truly cares about, and has deep knowledge of issues affecting vulnerable people and the elderly. Regular Social activities include coffee mornings.
As Scheme Manager you will be a committed and motivated person to work closely with and support The Retirement Housing Manager in delivering a high-quality Retirement Housing service to our organisation.
This post is predominantly lone working however you will be working as part of a wider team of Scheme Managerproviding a high-quality housing service to older people in the Chelmsford, Barnet, Finchley , Camden and Hertfordshire areas. This is a rewarding and exciting position, responsible for building relationships and trust internally within your Origin team and Residents.&nbsp;

What you’ll do
&nbsp;You will
<ul>
<li>Act as main point of contact for Residents and their families.</li>
<li>Write and review reports and complete risk assessments</li>
<li>Respond to emergency situations received via the Warden Call system during daytime hours</li>
<li>Ensure all Health &amp; Safety policies and procedures are maintained within the service including the prompt reporting and follow up of communal repairs</li>
<li>Carry out regular Scheme and estate inspections including regular fire alarm tests and fire Safety inspections&nbsp; &nbsp;</li>

Skills and experience we'd like you to have
We’re looking for someone who:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>is experienced in working with vulnerable adults in a semi-independent housing service, as well as have a strong understanding of the needs of Older People.</li>
<li>possesses a sound knowledge of welfare benefits and health and safety procedures for this type of service and is confident in supporting residents with benefit applications and queries, including making referrals for additional welfare advice and support.</li>
<li>is a practical thinker and doer, able to plan and prioritise work, and adapt to change when necessary so you must be able to priorities your work and meet firm deadlines.</li>
<li>Has experience of working in a customer focused environment, preferably in the housing sector</li>
<li>Has the ability to communicate with a wide range of people across different cultures.</li>
<li>is confident in supporting residents with benefit applications and queries, including making referrals for additional welfare advice and support.</li>
<li>has the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver work to targets/deadlines</li>
<li>is a confident communicator across all channels with good written and verbal communication skills and good IT skills</li>

About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Homelessness, Independence and Preventative Services which adopts a preventative approach across the housing, health and social care agendas. You will be a frontline professional delivering a first class, modern and flexible service to some of the most vulnerable people in the Borough.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
This is an exciting and busy role that is at the centre of the Councils response to homelessness. The service is developing and progressing our agenda to reduce the use of temporary accommodation and achieve more upstream prevention outcomes.

<li>If you want to work in the public sector and be part of a progressive team, this is a unique opportunity for you as we are interested in what you can bring to help us improve and develop our services for our customers.</li>
<li>This role is to book-in, and cancel, and track applicants placed in emergency and temporary accommodation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidance.</li>
<li>You will provide high standards of face-to-face customer services to homeless residents approaching the Housing Service in person at Hounslow House, ensuring that they are suitable placed into emergency accommodation.</li>
<li>You will maintain accurate records to maximise use of available accommodation, transferring households to more suitable accommodation as required and assist with the collection of income by tracking rent accounts and Housing Benefit claims.</li>
<li>You will help resolve issues where applicants may no longer be residing in their accommodation. You assist with emergency and temporary accommodation placements, liaising with external providers. You proactively prevent and resolve crisis and work collaboratively to resolve wide ranging issues associated with emergency accommodation.</li>
