Permanent Ref: H7317 &nbsp;An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the Private Sector Housing Team. Our Private Sector Housing Team regulates unsafe housing within the borough including fire safety in high, medium and low-rise buildings and a reactive service to complaints with a view to rolling out proactive based working projects wherever possible.&nbsp; You will be a motivated and proactive individual who will take responsibility for ensuring high standards, leading a team of 6 officers to regulate the private rented sector in Dacorum.&nbsp; The team is also responsible for delivering HMO licensing under the national mandatory scheme as well as providing sound advice to landlords, tenants and partner agencies.&nbsp; The posts present an ideal opportunity for an individual who already has in-depth experience and knowledge of the regulation of the private sector and are perhaps looking to progress their careers into management. You will need to have the relevant level of qualification and experience in one or more of the service-specific subject areas, including a sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and enforcement.&nbsp; You will act as advisor to the Assistant Director, Head of Service, Manager and senior management on the allocated service. You will work in collaboration with other services and senior management to ensure that services are joined up appropriately and are aligned to the achievement of the Council’s aims and objectives. Applicants must have a driving licence that is valid in the UK. A Standard check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.
